Spend the day exploring with us in depth the Ribera del Duero Denomination of Origin, visiting three of the main wineries in the region. Discover the versatility of the Tempranillo grape variety and a region that, in just a few years, has become the Spanish vanguard of international wine.
During the day while touring the beautiful landscape, you will visit three wineries that represent the diversity of the region, tasting different styles of wines made with the Tempranillo grape as a base. You will have the opportunity to meet with winemakers and owners and visit their subway cellars where some of Spain's best wines are aging in ideal conditions.
We will start the day visiting a modern winery with an avant-garde building that integrates functionality, beauty and integration into the territory. During the tour of its facilities we will learn about the cultivation of grapes in a climate as extreme as that of the Ribera, winemaking techniques and aging times. We will finish the tour with a tasting of American and French barrels in the subway cellar and then go up to the wine bar to taste three of their best wines surrounded by old vineyards that surround the winery.
We will then visit a family winery, promoter of the Ribera del Duero D.O. and owner of the largest subway winery still in production in the entire region. Its owners will guide us through this fascinating tour inside the land where more than a thousand barrels keep some of the best wines of Spain. A winery that dates back to the 16th century and is considered one of the Spanish wine cathedrals.
The third winery, Chateau style, is located in the middle of endless fields of vineyards. We will learn about gravity winemaking and understand the secret that has led them in 20 years to be at the forefront of modern wines in Ribera del Duero with its more than 80 hectares of vineyards. We will have lunch in a private room inside the palace-winery, overlooking the barrel park, served with care and exclusivity by a team of professionals who will make us feel at home and will offer us some of the typical delicacies of the region (menu fully adaptable to the dietary needs of each client).
Note: this itinerary could be subject to change according to the availability of the wineries, the client's preferences and the season of the year. Please do not hesitate to ask us for a quote if you would like to visit a particular winery that may not be included in our regular tour. We will be happy to try to adapt the tour to your wishes.
