Toledo, a World Heritage City, is the capital of Castilla y la Mancha. Known for its monumentality and beauty, it treasures one of the best preserved medieval architectures in Spain. Inhabited since pre-Roman times, it was inhabited by Romans, Goths, Arabs, Jews and Christians over the last two thousand years.
The coexistence of Arab, Jewish and Christian cultures has left us with a spectacular monumental, cultural and gastronomic legacy. Toledo is the seat of the Spanish Archbishopric and its cathedral is the one that treasures the most works of art in Spain. Flanked by the meandering Tagus River, Toledo is nestled on top of a hill in the middle of the vast plains of La Mancha.
In addition, the province of Toledo produces a large amount of olive oil and wine. We found up to 6 Vinos de Pago in Toledo, the highest qualification a winery can obtain in Spain.
